Video Revolution
As you know the US has just celebrated Thanksgiving; that annual ritual of eating a lot, shopping a lot and putting out the Christmas decorations. As you can see from this picture, I am but a mere blot on the landscape when compared to some of the other efforts around the US, but it is a process of building up.
Talk of shopping though, and I fall even more short of the traditional American Thanksgiving shopper. Some stores open at midnight on Thanksgiving, most waiting until around 4 or 5am the following morning, with people waiting in line for literally hours to grab a "door buster" bargain. Usually some limited stock electronics item, a laptop, flat screen TV, etc that can be 50-80% lower than the regular retail.
We sauntered out around 10am, when most people had already put in a full day. The traffic was OK, the parking lots full but not bursting, and the bargains not quite so cheap, but still good value. We picked up a video camera, hence the title of this post, for a mere $200. A Sony DCR-DVD 108 with a Carl Zeiss lens, 40x optical zoom, which takes DVD disks and weighs less than a pound and measures in at 5.2"x2.2"x3.5"
So look out for videos galore of our little miracle. She already seems to know when the camera is on her and won't smile, but smiles right before I pick it up and right after I put it down! Check out this little clip for a tester though, and click here for another one. I can upload video to my photobucket account and also directly to the blog, so we will have to see what works best. For such a short video the file is huge, so I am gonna have to figure out ways to reduce the size of the files.
As usual, I have been snap happy, with some awesome pictures of our little angle, with Reggie, with her Santa jump suit, her tiny little hand in mind, and us drinking our milk together, my favourite!
